Construction at Extell Development’s 138Willoughby, also known as Brooklyn Point, is moving along quickly, withconcrete now at the 10th floor. Once opened, the skyscraper will complete theCity Point mega-development in Downtown Brooklyn. The mixed-use, multi-buildingproject has already produced two residential towers and a 600,000-square-foot(55,741-square-meter) retail space with a food market, grocery store, eventspace, and movie theater.

The 696-foot (212-meter) structure willyield 686,800 square feet (63,805 square meters) for residential use, with atotal of 458 condominiums. Sales started in March 2018, and it appears that thecheapest apartment, an $837,000 studio, has already been snagged. The leastexpensive listing at the moment is an $874,000 studio on the 26th floor. Thehighest asking price listed is $3.275 million for a three-bedroom on the 45thfloor.

The building will be crowned by a rooftopinfinity pool that the developers are touting as the highest in the WesternHemisphere. Completion is expected by early 2021. With the site’s current pace, this seems guaranteed, with topping out likely occurring in 2019.
