This project is located in Binhe New District, Dujiangyan, Chengdu City, with the total area of 1,400 square meters and whole investment is 150 million RMB. For the perspective of design, the facade of this project adopts glass clad, which is composed of 8,000 pieces of color-glazed glasses and its composite area can reach to 10,000 square meters. In particular, each piece of glass used in this project’s facade with 3D shape of spatial curved surface, the grinding and assembling of which are all done by manual. Meanwhile, LOW-E typed composite glasses are used for the “petals” , and tempered insulated glasses (low iron) are for “leaf veins”. In addition, the design of main part of this “hibiscus flower” adopts the mode of “opaque, transparent and grainy texture”, and gradient ramp is used for this part, showing the main characteristics of hibiscus flower.

Additional, each square meter of this hibiscus flowers has reinforcing steel keel with the weight of 40 kilogram. This “Flower” has 3 circles of petals: the outer ring part has 265 keels, the middle  ring part has 230 keels and the inner ring has 210 keels, and about 1,000 tons of steel is used for each petal, its total steel consumption is more than Bird’s Nest in Beijing. During the night, visitors can enjoys the colorful lighting show of this “Flower”, which is digitally controlled.
